The Order of the Daughters of the King® (DOK) is an international women's prayer community dedicated to a life of Prayer , Service and Evangelism . Daughters are a spiritual sisterhood of women who, in the midst of our daily lives, find community and spiritual support in local chapters. Chapters (composed of three or more women) are formed in Episcopal, Anglican, Lutheran and Roman Catholic churches. The DOK has over 30,000 members in the US and in over 21 other countries.

The Maryland Diocese of the DOK has around 270 Daughters who are represented by 21 of those chapters throughout our great state, as well as by individual Daughters at Large not currently affiliated with chapters for various reasons. We are Christian women and girls who desire a closer walk with the Lord. Both lay and ordained, we are strengthened through the discipline of a Rule of Life , and supported through the companionship of our sisters. We are all at different stages of our spiritual journey – some have just begun and some have been on this path for a long time – yet our primary goal is the same: to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known to others.

If you do not yet have a Chapter of the DOK in your own church/parish, and have interested women or would like to start, introduce, or recommend a chapter, please contact us directly. We would be delighted to send you information, visit your church/parish, and speak with anyone directly about the blessings of being a Daughter. We look forward to hearing from you.

If you are interested in becoming a Daughter, or would just like more information, please contact The Diocesan Assembly of Maryland. We would love you to explore the possibility of a Chapter at your parish!
